Hal lives in Cokato with his wife Dori. Dori is a graduate of Dassel-Cokato High School and Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota and currently works for the Enterprise Dispatch.
Born in Mekinock, North Dakota, the oldest of 2 children and 2 step-children, and graduated from Annandale High School.
Served in the United States Army for 11 years as an Infantryman. Served at Fort Benning, Georgia, Ayers Kaserne, Kirch Gons, Germany, Fort Lewis, Washington, Camp Casey, South Korea, and Fort Hood, Texas.
Graduate of St Cloud State University with a degree in Business Management and Sociology. Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Responsibility with an emphasis in Political Sociology.
Works for Comcast Cable in the Twin Cities as a Direct Sales Representative.
Prior to Comcast, Hal was the Chair of the Minnesota State University Student Association. A non-profit organization based in St Paul, MN advocating for 70,000 college students across Minnesota. As the Chair of the association, Hal strived to ensure that higher education issues were addressed in a bi-partisan manner.
While Hal was at St Cloud State University, he was also the Student Body President.
